Family Weekend

Pegasus Parent Programs is looking forward to bringing you an exciting weekend! A tentative schedule of events will be available in June. Be sure to check back often as events will be added weekly.

Recreation & Wellness Center (RWC)

During your time at Family Weekend, guests (18 & older) will have access to use the Recreation & Wellness Center's facilities and equipment. Guests will have access to the pool, group exercise classes, basketball courts, and more. Please head to the member services front desk and fill out a waiver once you enter the RWC.

Healthy Knights Tour

Come see all the areas on campus that are committed to Healthy Knights! Visit one, or all of the offices listed below, to learn more about the services they offer to keep students healthy, and performing their best academically, mentally, and physically!

The official welcome event for Family Weekend 2016. Located in the Student Union, registration and check-in will take place here. Come enjoy food, fun, and a showcase of UCF!

Shabbat Celebration

Shabbat Shalom! Experience all that Central Florida Hillel has to offer first-hand by participating in a student led Shabbat celebration. The evening will feature Shabbat services led by a UCF student, a home-style kosher meal and dessert in the student lounge. Central Florida Hillel is the center for Jewish student life at UCF. The goal of Central Florida Hillel is to offer engaging and meaningful programmatic opportunities that connect our students to each other, to their school, and to the greater Jewish community

Late Knights

Grab your family and join Late Knights for the Fam Fest Carnival! This event will feature games, entertainment, and prizes for people of all ages. This is one of the many UCF traditions that you do not want to miss. Our carnival style event will have a number of inflatables, carnival games, food and more. This will be one festival you and your family won’t want to miss!

Inaugural Lighting of the Spires on Knights Plaza

Students and parents are invited to gather on Memory Mall for a ceremony to celebrate the inaugural lighting of the new spires in front of CFE Arena, the public launch of the IGNITE campaign, and fireworks!

Come Grow in Service With Us!

Join Volunteer UCF on the Saturday of Family Weekend for an awesome volunteer opportunity! "Come Grow in Service with us" and help maintain the UCF Arboretum. The Arboretum grows plants and foods that are donated to the Knights Food Pantry for students in need. We will be helping to harvest and plant, rid of weeds, and we'll even get informative session about the different things found in the Arboretum. A tour, and maybe even some gifts, will be included in the morning's events.

Office of Student Involvement Jazz Breakfast

Additional cost of $20 per person (paid at time of Family Weekend registration) - Llimited # of tickets available.
Join the Office of Student Involvement for an enjoyable and relaxing Jazz Breakfast. What a great way to kick start your Family Weekend Saturday morning than with a cool Jazz Breakfast experience!

Menu: Croissants served with honey butter, fruit salad, yogurts with berries and granola, scrambled eggs, skillet hashbrowns, crispy bacon, breakfast sausage turkey links, coffee, hot tea, orange juice, and water.

Rosen College Family Weekend Brunch

The Rosen College invites students and their families to enjoy a day of food and fun at its annual Family Weekend Brunch! There will be three brunch seatings: 9:00am, 10:30am and 12pm. Seating is limited! Reserve your seats at

Who's Going to Pay for This: A Guide to Managing Loan Debt through Effective Scholarship Searches and Proper Budgeting will provide students and families with information on available financial aid resources and financial literacy tools, available to students at UCF. The presentation is highlighted with tips and strategies for maximizing one’s scholarship potential.

MASS Open House

Come visit the MASS office and talk to representatives about what the office can do to help students be successful at UCF. MASS staff will be available to answer questions and talk to you about its resources and scholarships available to multicultural and/or first generation students.

You Can Do It: Planning for a Study Abroad Experience

Study abroad is an investment in your student's personal and professional future. Each year, more students from the United States take advantage of this opportunity to grow and develop personally and to differentiate themselves professionally with a more global background and diverse resume.

This session will cover international opportunities available to UCF students and strategies with which families can plan ahead to make study abroad a reality.

LEAD Family Weekend Brunch

LEAD Scholars Academy presents a Family Weekend Brunch to give the families of LEAD Scholars the opportunity to interact with the staff and learn more about what the program has to offer. It will be a fun-filled time to eat and mingle before the football game. (LEAD Scholars only)

Tailgating with TTS

Tailgating with TTS allows transfer students of all kinds to learn about the many resources that the Transfer and Transition Services department has to offer. Students will meet fellow transfer students who were once in their shoes.

Non-traditional transfers are encouraged to bring their children to participate in this fun-filled event. The children will be able to participate in various activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, and card/board games. This event allows both students and their children to get involved in the UCF community and understand the true meaning of opportunity.

Alumni Tailgate

Head to the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center three hours before every home football game to charge up before the team charges on to the field! Marching Knights PreGame

The Marching Knights provide the ultimate soundtrack to any tailgate. Before kickoff, fans can find the band entertaining in small groups in the Student Union and around Memory Mall before they converge at Knights Plaza for the March to Victory to Bright House Networks Stadium.

Here’s the Marching Knights pregame schedule to make sure you don’t miss a beat:
2 HOURS BEFORE KICKOFF-Marching Knights instrument sections warm up outside the front of the Student Union.

1.30 HOURS BEFORE KICKOFF-The band marches down Memory Mall and stops to play school songs in front of the CFE Arena.

1 HOUR BEFORE KICKOFF-The March to Victory begins, with Knightro, Pegasus, the Spirit Squad and the Marching Knights leading cheering fans to the game.

20 MINUTES BEFORE KICKOFF-The band takes the field at the Bright House Networks Stadium to get the crowd pumped and perform its pregame show.

UCF Tailgate Concert Series

The UCF Tailgate Concert Series presented by FM 96.9 The Game will occur on IOA Plaza with a free concert by Cowboy Mouth. Many other activites will also be located throughout IOA Plaza on gameday, such as high-flying stunts of the Monster Freestyle Motocross Team. For VIP Passes ($55 for adults and $20 for youths), contact the UCF Ticket Office at 407-UCF-1000.

For over two decades, Cowboy Mouth has dished up its unique style of rock & roll gumbo. The band mixes a rowdy spirit reflective of the band's hometown of New Orleans with the fierce firepower of a group that lives on the road. These Louisiana natives have played more than 2,500 concerts and launched their signature song, "Jenny Says," into the upper half of the Billboard rock charts. Above all else, they earned a well-deserved reputation as a raucous, redemptive, live music experience.

Family Bagel Brunch at Central Florida Hillel

Come join the Central Florida Hillel family for coffee, bagels, lox, schmear and so much more. Central Florida Hillel is the center for Jewish student life at UCF. Parents and students will have the opportunity to learn about upcoming programs, internships and chances to experience the world by traveling abroad through Hillel. The goal of Central Florida Hillel is to offer engaging and meaningful programmatic opportunities that connect our students to each other, to their school, and to the greater Jewish community.
