First Year Experience

The First Year Experience Office employs over 70 students in various leadership roles. Follow the links below to find out about the exciting opportunities we provide.

  • LINK Student Assistant/Graphic Designer

    Co-facilitates the implementation of the LINK program (ex. awarding student points, maintaining the website/mobile app), and create all graphic design projects for the office. (hired as needed)

  • Office Assistant

    Helps to ensure the daily functions of the office are carried out in an efficient manner; answers student and family member questions via phone and email. (hired as needed)

  • Orientation Team Leader (O-Team)

    Aid in the transition of students and family members to university life during orientation and student’s first year. (hired in November)

  • Out of State Student Mentoring (OSSM) Program Peer Mentors

    Serve as a resource to help ease the transition to university life of first year, out-of-state students. (hired in the Spring)

  • Pegasus Palooza Student Director

    Lead the Pegasus Palooza e-board, plan and execute the University’s annual Fall Welcome Week, serving over 26,000 students each year. (hired in October)

  • Pegasus Palooza Executive Board

    Plan and execute the University’s annual Fall Welcome Week, serving over 26,000 students each year. (hired in November)

  • Strategies for Success Peer Mentors

    Serve as a resource to assist students in their academic success during the semester. (hired in the Spring)
