1 2023 VIRTUAL UCF FACULTY FORUMS & COLLEGE SHOWCASE SCHEDULE “Through research and lived experiences, we know that college students who intentionally engage with faculty outside of class time are more likely to be successful in the courses they take and attaining post-graduate goals.” — Mark Gumble, UCF Assistant Vice President, Student Services Highly recommended for all new students and family members… These webinars allow new students and family members to log in virtually via Zoom from the comfort of your home while getting to ask questions you want to know from UCF faculty and college administrators. You do not need a Zoom subscription to join but will need to join on a link that will be provided in April. The academic success and well-being of students are among the highest priorities of UCF faculty members and college administrators. UCF is a special place with outstanding and compassionate faculty members. As an initial step in connecting with UCF faculty members, we invite new UCF students and family members to attend one or more of the ten virtual webinars this summer. • These virtual showcase events provide an early opportunity for new students to engage with UCF faculty members and key administrators from respective colleges and majors, and to ask questions in preparation for a great start at UCF. • They are designed to help new students know what to expect in courses taught at UCF, and how to be successful from day one. • They are intended to be beneficial to both first-time-in-college students and students who are transferring to UCF. Family members are encouraged to attend and ask questions too!
