Announcing UCF’s New Division of Student Success and Well-Being

A top university priority, and a focus area of our new strategic plan, is to improve student success and well-being. Our goal is to unleash the potential of each individual, preparing them to lead enriched and fulfilling lives, while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and aptitudes to lead in the workforce of the future.

Since joining UCF on July 1, Dr. Paul Dosal, our new Senior Vice President for Student Success, has worked with many people across the university who are engaged in this effort to recommend a new structure that will support our vision that all students who start at UCF have the support and resources to complete here.

A New Division of Student Success and Well-being

Effective October 24, the units and departments within Student Development and Enrollment Services and Student Learning and Academic Success will move into the new division of Student Success and Well-Being, which will be led by Dr. Dosal. This new division will bring together dedicated teams focused on enrolling, advising, coaching, transitioning, developing, and supporting our students through their entire experience at UCF.

Additional Leadership Announcements

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Adrienne Otto Frame will be appointed to serve as Vice President with responsibility for departments that support Student Engagement and Well-being within the new division. She will report to Dr. Dosal and serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

I am also happy to share that Dr. Theodorea Berry will continue to serve as Vice Provost and Dean of the College of Undergraduate Studies, reporting to me and serving as a senior member of the leadership team within Academic Affairs. Dr. Berry will provide leadership to the College of Undergraduate Studies and oversee policy and curriculum development across UCF’s common undergraduate experience.
