Emphasize the importance of meeting with an Academic Advisor.

We encourage students to go early and often when it comes to academic advising at UCF.

If your student just started at UCF, they saw an advisor at Orientation that helped get them set-up for Summer or Fall. They are now on their own to schedule these appointments moving forward and ensuring they are staying on track academically.

If your student is starting another year at UCF, then they might already know who their advisor is and how to get in contact with them when the time comes for next semester’s registration.

No matter the starting point, students should be prioritizing meeting their academic advisors so they know what classes to take next semester and beyond, how to stay connected to their academic college, and how to continuously prepare for the future. Encourage your student to make a plan now for meeting with their advisor!
