Posted Wednesday, April 29, 2020 @ 10:53 AM UCF Student Health Services (SHS) provides a variety of primary and specialty care services to help keep students at their optimum health. We are committed to providing the UCF community with quality healthcare, and, as such, maintain accreditation granted by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. We know these may be difficult times for our communities, but we want to assure you that SHS is still here for our UCF students. All of our services can be accessed via telehealth appointments, as well as limited services available in-house at our facility located on the main campus. Students can access services such as primary care, psychiatry, dental, gynecology, dietitians, and more via a secure, private, and confidential telehealth appointment utilizing Zoom, the same platform they’re familiar with using for remote course instruction. Due to the limiting nature of Zoom video, some appointment types that require physical exams may be limited, however the patient can still be consulted by a provider. If your student is still residing in the Orlando area at this time, we also have limited services available on campus. Students can take advantage of injection clinics and acute care resources. Our pharmacy also remains open, offering convenient pickup and delivery options for prescription medications. Knights should call our pharmacy to order their prescriptions and our Pharmacists can discuss if delivery would be an option or provide direction for pickup. Please note that we are constantly evaluating the services that we can offer at this time, while keeping both our staff and your students’ safety as our highest priority. As such, the services outlined here may be reduced or expanded in response to public health needs. We will continue to provide updates on our website in regards to our services, availability, and hours. We look forward to the time when students are able to return to campus; until then, you can be assured that no matter where your Knight is staying while taking their courses remotely, they still have access to our expert healthcare providers and resources.
