UCF Wellness Meal Plan

This semester has been a unique one for our students, navigating an entirely new campus landscape.  UCF Dining is here to help those students who find themselves in on-campus quarantine and isolation.

Wellness Meal Plans

UCF Dining has teamed up with UCF Housing& Residence Life to create a process for students who need balanced meals once they arrive in quarantine/isolation rooms.  Wellness Meal Plans are available for students who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are being transferred to temporary isolation UCF Housing rooms.  This plan is only available if you are an on-campus housing resident.  UCF Housing & Residence Life will verify student’s eligibility for this meal plan.

Once a student has registered with Housing, they are given a link to the Wellness Plan choices, where they can opt-in to a plan based on how many days they will be isolated.  This service is an included benefit to those who have purchased a meal plan, but meal plan holders must still opt-in to receive meals.  If a student does not have a meal plan, but wishes to opt-in to a Wellness Meal Plan, they can purchase with a credit card.

Wellness Meal Plans come in 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 14 Day Packages.  Students who opt-in through the link from Housing by 2:00pm will receive their first meals that evening after 5:00pm.  Each meal package includes a hot dinner for that night, and breakfast and lunch for the following day.

Wellness Menu Guide

Students should review the available dietary restrictions on the UCF Housing COVID-19 Resident Intake Form Dean Referral to ensure the Wellness Meal Plan is the optimal option for their lifestyle. (A representative of HRL will go over this form with the student at time of transferring).

Once a student has been identified through UCF Housing & Residence Life, they may purchase a Wellness Meal Plan for their time in isolation. This plan includes three (3) meals each day, delivered safely to their room by and member of HRL.

Menus will vary. Meals will include:

  • Breakfast – Pastry or bagel, cereal with 2% milk, orange or banana, a fresh fruit cup, and orange juice.
  • Lunch – Boar’s Head sandwich or wrap, Lay’s Potato Chips, orange or banana, cold side dish, cookie or brownie and bottled water.
  • Dinner – Entree, vegetable sides, starch, bread, salad, dessert and bottled water.
  • Vegan, Gluten-sensitive and nut-free meals are available – the student MUST indicate their need for these meals on their Intake Form. Students should review the available dietary restrictions on the UCF Housing COVID-19 Resident Intake Form to ensure the Wellness Meal Plan is the optimal option for their lifestyle.

Armor up, and stay safe Knights!
