Yes! While the Family & Guest Orientation program is designed for adult support systems of students, we know sometimes it is hard to find childcare and siblings might need to join. Anyone 10 ages and above will need to pay the session fee, but anyone under the age of 10 is free to join. If you choose to bring a sibling/child who is 10 years or older, please make sure to add them to your student’s official Orientation reservation.

We encourage people who will be support systems for students as they start at UCF to come to Orientation. This can be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors down the street, etc. – we know every family looks different, so whoever makes sense for your student is welcome!

We strongly encourage all Knights to purchase a meal plan for various reasons, but it is important to decide what best works for your student. There are a number of considerations. Does your student like to cook? How often will your student be on campus? For more information regarding meal plans and pricing, click here.

More information on Family Weekend 2025 will come in May 2025.

The UCF Card is your student’s ID card. To obtain their card, students will need to visit the UCF Card Office. It can be used like a debit card for purchases on campus and at several UCF area restaurants. It can also be used to get into student activities such as UCF Athletics events, concerts, and various other activities.

UCF offers both on-campus shuttles and shuttles to off-campus locations, including 18 different apartment complexes as well as the Rosen and Lake Nona campuses. Shuttle routes, pick up times, and hours of operation can be found on the Parking Services website.
