Fall 2021 move-in is just a few weeks away, so we’re sharing our top need-to-know details to ensure the smoothest move-in experience possible.

UCF Fall 2021 move-in will take place by appointment from Thursday, August 19th to Sunday, August 22nd.  It is VERY IMPORTANT to check out the move-in section of our website now and before your arrival to see important updates regarding arrival, check-in, unloading zones, overnight parking and more. Reviewing this information will help you have the smoothest possible experience.

Prior to Move-in

All incoming residents must schedule their move-in appointment through the Housing Portal. To schedule your move-in appointment, log into the Housing Portal and click on the Fall 2021 Move-In Appointments link under Quick Links on the welcome screen.

Certain student groups, such as band and sorority recruitment, are eligible for Early Move-In, taking place Saturday, August 14th and Sunday, August 15th. These students must complete the Early Move-In Request form in the Housing Portal prior to scheduling an appointment.

Additionally, we have created a packing list for your convenience, complete with what to bring and what NOT to bring to campus.

Incoming residents interested in meeting fellow Knights and getting acquainted with the university before the semester starts are encouraged to apply for the Housing Leadership Institute. This free five-day conference includes educational and interactive programming sessions, guest speakers, nightly entertainment, and meals for all participants. HLI will take place from August 15-19 and the deadline to apply is July 19th.

COVID-19 Updates
UCF is making it simple and convenient for all our students to receive the COVID-19 vaccine if you have not yet already. Student Health Services is regularly offering the Pfizer vaccine Monday through Friday by appointment. Schedule your vaccine appointment today.
Up-to-date information about COVID testing, vaccination, and move-in will be available on the move-in pages of the housing website and will be emailed to incoming residents.

Move-in Day

When arriving to campus, make sure you have your UCF ID card or plan to pick it up at UCF Card Services before checking in. Your UCF ID will become your housing keycard, and you must have it in order to check in. We also strongly encourage residents to download the UCF Mobile app before arriving. UCF Mobile includes several helpful resources, such as campus maps, dining options and hours, UCF events, and more.

Upon your arrival, head immediately to your community’s designated unloading zone as noted here. Staff will be available to assist with unloading and will direct residents from parking areas to check-in stations. While students are checking in to their community, parents and guests should begin the unloading process. Once vehicles are unloaded, they must immediately be moved to designated long-term/overnight parking.

We look forward to your arrival! Be sure to check your Knights email daily for important updates and  follow us on your favorite social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for more move-in tips and information about campus resources and upcoming events.
